Up in the Scottish Highlands, on the wild and windy North Sea, an old Herring Warehouse is home to Harley of Scotland Knitwear.

In 1929, a Herring Fisherman, Peter Harley Buchan, knowing the benefits of wool, would knit socks for his crew in the Herring Yards. Today, those Herring Yards have been transformed into a busy kniiting mill and Harley of Scotland is run by his descendants.

Using beautiful, quality yarns (Australian Merino Wool, Supersoft Shetland Wool and other natural fibres) authentic craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail and an ethical approach to manufacturing, their quality knitwear is not only beautiful but made to last. 

We stock a wide range in both Men's Harley and Women's Harley knitwear from Fairisle designs to classic plains.
